FUEL STILETTO 400

The Fuel Stiletto 400  is an scrambler based on a 2016 Yamaha SR 400

This project was commissioned by our friend Marco, founder of the Club Vintage Rally in Italy and rider of the Scram Africa in several editions.

It was precisely due to his registration in the Scram Africa 2017 that he took charge of this project.

The idea was basically to make an interesting bike with a low budget improving the aesthetics and at the same time to improve aspects of the bike for an off road riding.

In order to improve its riding on tracks, some improvements were made, such as new off-road footpegs and a cross-type handlebar higher than the original. Also the exhaust manifold was modified in order the silencer get a greater angle than the original one.

The rear shocks were changed by YSS and the springs fork were changed by a progressive ones, these modifications greatly improved the handling of the motorcycle.

At the rear part of the bike was adapted an Ossa Stiletto seat cowl modifying the original subframe. That Ossa was also known as "Moto-Cross" or "Scrambler" and introduced in the English market as "Avenger".

That seat cowl plus a single scrambler style seat gives a new line and a totally different image to the original model.

A small headlight also from an Ossa in the front has just given this look of the enduro bikes of the 70’s.

Regarding the tires were mounted Continetal TKC 80 that behaved perfectly in Morocco.

The color of the bike was Marco's request, he wanted a joyful, fun and reliable bike .. and as you can see in the images during the Scram Africa the Fuel Stiletto 400 is a joyful, fun and reliable bike!

Presentamos la Fuel Stiletto 400.

Un proyecto con base a una Yamaha SR 400 del año 2016 .

Este proyecto fue un encargo de nuestro amigo Marco, fundador del Club Vintage Rally de Italia y participante de la Scram África en varias ediciones.

Precisamente fue debido a su inscripción en la Scram África 2017 lo que le llevó a encargarnos este proyecto.

La idea era basicamente hacer una moto interesante con un presupuesto ajustado mejorando algunas aspectos de la moto para su uso off road.

Para mejorar su conducción en pistas se hicieron algunas mejoras como unas nuevas estriberas para off road y un manillar tipo cross más alto que el original. Tambien se modificó el colector para conseguir que el escape tenga un angulo mayor al original y no tener problemas al cruzar algun riachuelo.

Los amortiguadores traseros se cambiaron por unos YSS y en la horquilla se cambiaron los muelles por unos progresivos, estas modificaciones mejoraron mucho el comportamiento de la moto.

Modificando el subchasis original se adaptó un colín de Ossa Stiletto , una moto conocida tambien como “Moto-Cross” o “Scrambler” y comercializada en el mercado ingles como “Avenger”. Ese colín más el asiento de una sola plaza diseñado al mas puro estilo scrambler dan una nueva línea y una imagen totalmente diferente al modelo original.

Un pequeño faro también tipo Ossa en la parte delantera acaba de darle este look de las motos de enduro de los años 70.

Los neumáticos se confiaron a unos Continetal TKC 80 que se comportaron perfectamente en Marruecos.

El color de la moto fue un petición de Marco, quería una moto alegre, divertida y fiable.. y como podéis ver en las imágenes hechas en la Scram Africa la Fuel Stiletto 400 es divertida, alegre y fiable!
