Stage 5: Scram Africa 2025

Stage 5 of Scram Africa 2025 delivered one of the most visually stunning and memorable days of the adventure. The morning began with the traditional group photo, capturing the spirit of the riders before heading out on another day of discovery.

A Tough Start in Deep Sand

The day’s first challenge was a long section of soft sand. Many riders experienced falls, with one unfortunate participant suffering a broken collarbone. The medical team responded quickly, providing care and safely evacuating the rider. Despite the incident, the group pressed on, showing the resilience and camaraderie that defines Scram Africa.

From Desert Tracks to Ocean Views

After a short off-road ride to Assa for fuel, riders tackled one last desert section before transitioning to a long asphalt stretch leading toward the Atlantic Ocean. After refueling in Guelmim, the anticipation grew for what lay ahead.

The afternoon brought fast, flowing tracks that guided the group to the famous Plage Blanche. The sight of the ocean meeting the desert was simply breathtaking.

Riding Along Plage Blanche

One of the most spectacular moments of the entire journey was riding 14 kilometers along the pristine sands of Plage Blanche. Riders cruised along the shoreline with the sound of waves crashing nearby. If the tide was too high, an alternative route along the cliffs offered equally stunning views of the coastline.

The stage became a mix of sea, mountains, and desert landscapes. Riders stopped frequently to take photos and soak in the incredible scenery.

Overnight at Fort Bou Jerif

The day concluded with a ride to Fort Bou Jerif, a historic military outpost built during the French colonial period. Now a peaceful campsite, Fort Bou Jerif provided a unique and serene setting to reflect on the day’s adventure. Riders camped under the stars, surrounded by Morocco’s raw and rugged beauty.

Stage 5 of Scram Africa 2025 was a day of contrasts: tough riding, unforgettable views, and the ultimate reward of reaching the Atlantic shores.
