Cancellation policy
As you prepare for this trip, please be aware of our non-refundable payment policy. To protect your payments, we strongly recommend opting for optional cancellation insurance. This coverage not only ensures a refund in case of unforeseen circumstances but also serves as personal travel insurance, providing additional protection in case of accidents during your adventure. You can purchase this cancellation insurance from any company you prefer. Alternatively, you can consider our partner, IATI Seguros (you can review all the details here: https://gr11.net/go/cancellation-insurance). Please bear in mind that many insurance companies require the policy to be purchased within a week of payment. Our partner company does not have this limitation, allowing you to buy the insurance at any time up to a week before the start of the trip.
There’s no obligation to dress a certain way, but we do appreciate it when your clothing matches the vibe of the trip—a journey into the past, filled with nostalgia and the adventure of bygone days
FAQs
Medium/advanced motorcycle skills are required, you must be able to ride for six hours safely in any terrain and weather.
You don’t need to know how to navigate, you will simply have to follow the gps indications in digital or paper form.
Once we receive your pre-registration, you’ll get an email where we’ll ask for all the information about your vehicle to confirm your spot.
The minimum range is 200 km.
We will stay in 4- and 5-star hotels and magnificent open-air bivouacs in the middle of the desert, with haimas equipped with mattresses, as well as running water, toilets, and showers.
-A valid passport with an expiration date of more than 6 months after exit of Morocco (May 4-5 or 6th May 2025, depending on when you exit Morocco).
-Driving license
-Motorcycle/car documentation
-If the bike or car is not yours, you need wrtitten an authorization from the owner.
-Accident insurance and repatriation compulsory
-Green Card insurance (Internationally accepted document proving the existence of insurance and assuring the victims of accidents caused by foreign vehicles.)
The camps are very comfortable. There is running water, toilets, and a shower. The tents have double beds, but we recommend bringing your own sleeping bag and a headlamp. There will also be a power generator at the bivouac so you can charge your phone and GPS.
-Sleeping bag / Head headlamp/ Hydration bag (motorcycle riders) / Copy vehicle keys / Sun and lips protector
Is recommended to bring some spare parts as air filter, inner tube tire, replacement levers, clutch and brake levers, gas and clutch cable, motor oil, duct tape, wire, clamps, spray grease for chains, fuses specific for your bike/car...
Considering the dates of the trip (excluding any additional days before or after), you should budget around 200 EUR for fuel, depending on your motorcycle model and driving style. Additionally, you’ll need money for any extra drinks or refreshments you may want, approximately another 100 EUR. We also recommend carrying an emergency fund in EUR or USD in case you need to purchase a replacement part, pay for major repairs, or cover unexpected expenses.
We have our own mechanic that will help you fix any issues that may occur during the stage. We’ll do our best to diagnose and fix any issues, and if necessary, we’ll help arrange the transfer of your vehicle to a nearby workshop. You can choose to handle repairs through your insurance or with local mechanics at your own risk. If your vehicle is immobilized, we’ll support you until your insurance steps in.
Participants are only charged for repair costs after the first hour of labor, with parts charged at cost. If repairs take longer than an hour, an estimate will be provided before proceeding. Repairs will only address issues that arise during the trip, not pre-existing problems.
Motorcycles can only be loaded onto support vehicles if they are in disrepair or if the rider is injured, upon availability in the support vehicle. For 4x4 vehicles, if a complete breakdown occurs, you’ll need to coordinate with your insurance for further transportation or repairs. We’ll assist with the logistics of this process.
First, the injured person sends an SOS call through the GPS locator, which the staff receives along with their location. Our medical team arrives to the place, checks and stabilizes the injured person. Then, the medical team transports the person to the nearest facility if hospital care is needed. In severe cases, a helicopter can be requested from the insurance provider.
You won’t be riding alone. The organization team will provide navigation instructions, and you’ll ride in groups without a guide leading in the front. However, there will be staff members riding bikes within the groups, along with support vehicles, to assist and ride alongside participants throughout the journey.
Customers with Spanish nationality and from most EU countries only need to have a valid passport with an expiration date of more than 6 months after entry into Morocco.
For other nationalities we recommend you to ask in your ministry of foreign affairs, consulates or embassies.
In Morocco the official currency is the Moroccan Dirham which is exchanged at 1€ = 10Dh. Euro bills are also accepted in most places. You can change currency in banks, airports, sea ports, and ATMs.
In Morocco, debit and credit cards are widely accepted in many establishments in urban and tourist areas. However, in the desert regions, it is highly advisable to carry cash in Moroccan dirhams (MAD) for transactions in smaller or more remote locations.
Our advice is not to give money or gifts to anyone who asks, especially children. Giving gifts and money can lead to the unfortunate consequence of many children wanting to leave school to focus on begging from tourists.
As a general rule and depending on the company, there is mobile coverage for more than 70% of the route.
In Morocco, it is possible to buy a SIM card to access the internet during your trip. Prepaid SIM cards can be purchased from various telecommunications providers at authorized stores, and the process is generally quick and straightforward. Alternatively, you might consider purchasing an eSIM online, such as HolaFly, in advance (if your phone is compatible). Internet access will be available at most hotels, but in remote areas, the connection may be weak—sufficient for sending messages and answering some emails, but not for heavy usage.
No vaccinations are required to visit Morocco.
The tap water in Morocco is not safe for drinking. We advise taking always a water bottle (the organisation will provide you with a bottle each day). It’s also advisable to avoid raw vegetables, fruits with edible skins, salads and drinks with ice. If you eat something in any bar, restaurant or similar apart from the hotels provided, please opt for cooked foods and fruits that need to be peeled instead.
No, the person who brought the vehicle into the country must leave with the same vehicle. It is important that you keep the entry documents safe. If you lose them, you may encounter problems when trying to leave.
